What is Reiki?
Reiki is an Energy Healing technique that promotes relaxation, stress relief and natural healing for overall well-being. By definition "Rei" is Spiritual Wisdom and "Ki" is Life Energy". Reiki practitioners are facilitators of healing through life force energy. Using little to no touch, their hands are channels to allow healing energy to flow as well as allow the release of harmful energy in the body. After a reiki session you are likely to feel relaxed, recharged and less weighed down by the pressures of everyday life. Reiki practitioners act as vessels for the healing and energy alignment everyone needs!
What to Expect with Mind Body Spirit Reiki
Reiki is an individualized experience, but is relaxing and stress-reducing for all. Liken it to a massage, but for your energy fields. Little to no touch is used to scan the body for areas of need, to remove blockages in the energy and apply a flow of healing energy to balance and align the mind, body and spirit to facilitate healing, health and wellness.
I tell my clients that their experience with Reiki will be different than anyone else's. For some, the benefit is physical - relaxation, pain-relief, stress-relief. For others it's emotional - it is normal to release emotional blocks during treatment. And for some, it can be spiritual as well. I am not a psychic but often during treatment, if you have been trying to connect with a lost loved one, they will be there and I can connect with them. I don't officially offer this as part of treatment, but it does happen often.
At the beginning of a session, we will take a moment to discuss your needs and expectations, how you are feeling and answer any questions you have. You will then lie on a massage table while listening to soothing music. You are welcome to talk or just rest. It's quite common to fall asleep during treatment.
As part my Reiki treatments you will also receive color therapy. I have utitilized color therapy for several years. I use it energetically, but I also have color emitting lights in the room during treatment. Color therapy, as with Reiki therapy, can be beneficial for all, however if you prefer no color lights in the room, just let me know.
Depending on your preference I will explain my findings either during treatment or afterwards and may offer some ideas for you to help enhance the effectiveness as well as prevent negative energies from coming back after we remove them.
If you have chosen an extended treatment, this will include chakra balancing including use of associated crystals. When things are out of balance with your physical self or with life in general, one or many of your chakras may be suffering. Chakra balancing is something I perform on myself regularly. Since doing this, I have noticed drastic changes in many areas of my life - physical, mental and emotional.
Reiki is a holistic healing modality that can enhance your health, happiness and overall well-being. Reiki is not a one-and-done style treatment for most people. It may take multiple treatments to heal deep-seated or long-term issues.
Confidentiality is important to me. You are a client and I am a practitioner, no matter how I know you or don't know you. I will not share any of your information or anything you share with me. Because of my medical training, our sessions will be treated with client to practitioner confidentiality.
